This pattern is a the perfect stash busting Christmas decoration to use up those ball ends from your year of crafting. There are two options for the pattern, a stuffed (rag-doll) version or a flat piece. This pattern is aimed at a beginners and is written in US and UK terminology. This pattern is designed to work with DK weight yarn, but can be made with any yarn with a matching hook. The stash-busting advent calendar will be released late November! What you need
- Red (R): 20m (40m doubled)
- Green(G): 7m (14m doubled)
- Yellow(Y): 5m total
- Small amount of stuffing (optional)
- 3mm Crochet Hook, Note gauge in this pattern is not important. your hook should match your yarn.

All stitches are SC/DC (US/UK terminology) stitches. For this pattern the colour yarn, given in () above is used to denote stitches.
Pattern
R1: Worked in foundation SC. 9R, 4G. CH1 and turn. [13]
R2: 2G in first stitch. 3G, 8R, 2R in last stitch. CH1 and turn. [15]
R3: 2R in first stitch, 10R, 3G, 2G in last stitch. [17]
R4: 4G, 13R, 2R in last stitch.
R5: 2R in first stitch, 14R, 3G. CH1 and turn.
R6-10: 19R. CH1 and turn.
At this point we are starting section “A” which is the toe tip.
R11a: 3R. CH1 and turn.
R12a: R, RDEC. CH1 and turn.
R13a: 2Y. CH1 and turn.
R14a: 2Y. Fasten off.
Now return to R10, Skip 5 stitches from R11a. Attach yarn with a slip stitch. CH1.
R17b: 2R, 1G, 3R, 1G, 2R, 1G, 1R. CH1 and turn.
R18b: 3G, 1R, 2G, 1R, 2G, 2R, 2G (foundation stitches). CH1 and turn.
R11b: In the same stitch as the SL, R, 10R. CH1 and turn.
R12b-15b: 11R. CH1 and turn
R16b: 1R, 1Y, 2R, 1Y, 3R, 1Y, 2R. CH1 and turn.
R19b: GDEC, 1G, 1R, 2G, 1R, 2G, 1R, 3G, 2G (Foundation stitches). CH1 and turn.
R20b-23b: 13G, CH1 and turn.
R24b: 13G. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Add two missing bells.
Return to R18b: on the last foundation SC, Attach yellow yarn with a slip stitch on the “back” side of the stitch (towards R17b), CH3, SL into the first stitch. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Return to R19b: on the last foundation SC, Attach yellow yarn with a slip stitch on the “back” side of the stitch (towards R18b). CH3, SL into the first stitch. Fasten off and weave in ends.

- Make two bodies.
- Attach green yarn to the heel of the boot with a slip stitch. SC/DC through both layers around the boot. Add 3 stitches in each corner. Change colours as needed. Stuff as you go.
- With your choice of yarn, CH45, SL into the first CH. Fasten off and sew to the top end of the boot
Assembly flat
- Attach green yarn to the heel of the boot with a slip stitch. SC/DC around. Add 3 stitches in each corner. Change colours as needed. Stuff as you go.
- With your choice of yarn, CH45, SL into the first CH. Fasten off and sew to the top end of the boot.
